Presented to an artist in pursuit of studying choreography with the potential of becoming a musical theatre choreographer/director. Established in memory of Brian MacDonald , one of Canada’s most prolific and internationally renowned directors and choreographers.

Kyla approaches choreography as an act of collaboration and storytelling, guided by musicality and ensemble. She believes in the power of clear structure and shared purpose to unlock risk, connection, and expressive freedom, supporting artists in deepening their acting through movement.
